Ringing in New Year is a fun that each of us look forward to. People wait for this day to arrive so that they can celebrate it in their own way. People try to make this day enjoyable and different but every time it is the same old gang and same old parties. After some time it becomes dull and tedious.

One way you can make it different is by celebrating the New Year with a cause. This will give you the much needed change in life and will bring in New Year with a satisfactory note. The causes can be different and varied but meaningful. One novel way is to celebrate the New Year in an old-age home or an orphanage.

In the old age home, people are lonely. However good the home is, it is not possible for the management to look after everyone every time. They don’t even have the funds with them to celebrate. So the New Year is like another day of the calendar, just a change in the date. But you can make a difference. Merely, go to the old age home with some gifts and lot of exuberance and wrap the old people in that. They don’t look forward to gifts but just need someone to talk and share their feelings. If you can go and sit with them and talk that will make their day! Take some fruits for them and a music system. If possible do carry some decorative stuff with you. Take their help to deck up their dull home with streamers, and banners to welcome the New Year and dance into the New Year.

You can do the same in an orphanage too. Take some sweets, streamers, candies and fruits and spend the day with them.

The joy you see on their face and the satisfaction that you get out of this will usher the New Year with a bang!  You can even adopt them to give them a new hope and enlighten their future.

To stay healthy join and plan a healthy routine from the day one, plan to finish all your pending works, network with people as it helps both your social and professional life.  Just plan a plantation campaign at your neighborhood or at baron lands.  You can make your won garden to make you feel fresh and lively the whole year.

You can promise yourself on this first day to smile everyday  and be happy read good books, trust people help others, donate ,do charities, live every moment, begin a new career, be grateful and graceful, forgive others, avoid telling lies, be  honest, challenge yourself to new ideas and be more open-minded about everything in life.

JUST make it happen 2009 is never too late.
